SPRINGFIELD, IL - Volunteer registration for the 2019 Lincoln Land Championship presented by LRS is now open at www.lincolnlandchampionship.com. This year’s tournament will be held June 10-16 at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Illinois.
“More than 400 volunteers are needed to help make the only professional men’s golf tournament in Central Illinois an overwhelming success,” Executive Director, Kate Peters said. “Volunteers are the heart and soul of this event and are crucial to our success.”
The tournament has more than 20 committees that need volunteers to help assist. Volunteers do not need to have golf knowledge to volunteer. In fact, there are a variety of committees that do not require any knowledge of golf. Volunteer assignments range from on-course marshals, standard bearers, walking scorers, and more. A full list of committees can be found at:
Returning and new volunteers must complete the online registration. Volunteers can work as many or few shifts as their schedule allows. New for 2019, volunteers will have the chance to choose between 3 different volunteer packages; they range from $15 to $50. In addition, any volunteer that registers during the month of February will receive a $5.00 discount off the $50.00 package.
There are also a limited number of junior volunteer opportunities available for individuals ages 14- 17 during tournament week. This is a great way for juniors to earn community service hours. Juniors interested in volunteering can register for free by using the code JUNIOR2019 when registering online.
